Macedonian Community Entrepreneurship

Achieving economic successes is considered to be a precondition to have a political voice. Diaspora business not only makes the community more notable, but it also increases pride and its political power and influence. Both are problems in our community.

As many in the Melbourne Diaspora would see, there is a dramatic lack of Macedonian owned businesses in comparison to our population size.

This suggestion/initiative would work best if it were initiated and driven by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.

Macedonian short film festival.

This idea comes from a friend and the idea was drawn from the first Macedonian film festival in Melbourne.

Basically, it is what the title says - A Macedonian short film festival.

It would be like Tropfest, only Macedonian.

Some variations might involve:

- Including entries from Macedonians world-wide, not just in Australia

- Focusing on a different theme each year
